Foggy Night at the Old Mental Hospital

This photo is from the grounds of an old state mental hospital. The hospital used to look like something out of an old horror movie but now it’s been replaced with a modern building and most of the grounds turned into a public park and is typically a cheerful place with people strolling, jogging, playing frisbee golf, fishing, or enjoying the small botanical garden on the hill. But at night it still retains some of its old creepiness, particularly when the fog rises.

BTW, these days it’s fair to wonder how much digital manipulation went on in any given photo. Typically, like in this photo, I get most of what you see in the camera, only adjusting the contrast and perhaps a little the color to make it look more like what I actually saw vs how the camera captured it. I never composite anything.
